Working on google classroom

It is important for teacher to have knowledge of google classroom which make easier for teachers to carry out learning activities, the intended learning is not only in class, but also outside the classroom because students can learn wherever and whenever by accessing google classroom online.

Initially, I don't have any knowledge on google classroom software but after doing lot of classroom activities on google classroom I acquired enough knowledge on usage of google classrom. I found that it is essential technique to teach through google classroom in the worse condition where teacher and students are not able to meet for face to face teaching and learning. 

After working on the google classroom software, I learned how to create and assign task or assignment in google classroom to students, how to create quiz, rubrics, how to upload reading materials ,relate video and web link to the students.



In future, if I get a opportunity I will use google classroom teach and communicate with children during week end days or holiday days if situation demand as evey individual will access to google classroom to get the lesson or information at any time. Teaching through google classroom will save both teacher and child time.

Working on Graph calc

Initially, I don’t have any idea about software graph calc since I am exploring and hearing for the first time. After tutor demonstration and explanation I came to know that graph calc is software that is capable of plotting graphs, solving simultaneous equations, and performing other tasks with variables. 
I know many of us wasted a lot of time plotting the graph but if we use the software graph calc within wasting much time we can able to plot the graph. For instance, if we are going to plot the graph for linear equation y=-4x+2, 2y=2x-6. To plot these two linear equations in the graph we will take a lot of time to find unknown variables for y and x-axis but if we use the software called graph calc we can easily plot the graph by typing the equations in a given box.

How do I integrate graph calc in teaching?

Firstly, the teacher needs to teach the concept of the linear equation before letting them use graph calc. For example, Linear equations are a combination of constants and variables. The standard form of a linear equation in one variable is represented as y=mx + c where c is constant/intersecting at y-axis and m is coefficient. Ex; y=2x+4. We have to teach the concept to plot the graph without using graph calc.

After knowing the basic concept to plot the graph we have to teach how to plot graph using graph calc software. For instance, we have to ask students to plot a linear equation using graph calc that is 
Y=2x+1
Y=2x+2
Y=2x+3



After students plotting graphs ask them relation or pattern that they notice from the three equations. 

Finally, to check whether students understood the concept of the linear equation gives questions to plot the graph in the chart paper without using the graph calc software. For example, ask students to plot;
Y=-4x+2
2y=2x-6
 

Check whether students can plot the graph or not in the chart paper. If the students can plot they are fully understood the concept to plot the linear equation. To check whether their graph is correct or not let same equation to plot in graph calc as shown below;

Fifth tool: Situating tool

I came to know that situating tools is application that lay the students in the environment where it involves a context and the occurrence of a situation.
We have to integrate situating tool when a certain real-life experience is important or difficult to attain.

How to integrate google map to teach social studies on the topic Thimphu Dzong

Students those are far from Thimphu and who didn’t reach to Thimphu will face difficult to study learn.So, in this case i will use google map to teach about Thimphu dzong as using the google map students will get clear picture of Thimphu dzong which accelerate them to learn and explore more on the topic. Using the google map students will able to find exact location of dzong. They can also find latitude and longitude, area, perimeter and also able to see street view of the dzong using google map.

Using google map will help teachers and students explore, create, and collaborate with mapping tools. First it is very important for the teacher to teach how to use the google map for the students and give hand on practice to explore and learn themselves to use google map. Using the google map students will get the information about dzong within short duration of time. 

If get a chance to teach in upper primary students, I will use google map to teach maximum topic from social studies like time calculation, rivers, places, world map, lake, boundary and etc.., This are the topics that maximum students fails to understand the concept. All the students will learn better and understand easily If we let the students to explore using google map.

It is possible to teach a lesson using google map because maximum people in our country are using phone. We can easily download the google map app from phone and we can use easily.
